"When will, 'hey Dred, I'm coming over for a visit' actually mean, 'I'm coming for a visit' rather then, 'oh whoops, I got shot up again'!" Dred growled angrily, pulling the bullet from Gabriel's back. The smaller man shouted in pain. "Damn lead poisoning is what is going to kill you Gabe, not the death penalty, not Prince Talwin, or me. Nope, lead poisoning!" Dred exclaimed.

Gabriel sat still as Dred wrapped bandages around the wound. "Well, we could just make out and forget about it." Gabriel suggested. He winced as Dred hit him on the head. "NO! Maybe you could've gotten away with batting your green eyes at me the first times but not anymore!" Gabriel shrunk back some what. "Look, Gabe, go get some rest, I have things to do." Dred sighed, Poppet, the crow, fluttering to his shoulder. The door shut quietly behind him. Gabriel looked after him forlornly before lying down on the old leather couch. His back ached.

It was night when Dred returned. He looked at Gabriel, sprawled across the couch. He carefully picked him up and put him in the guest room. Dred had seen his leader at his weakest. The smaller man looked almost like porcelain to Dred ever since he returned one day to find Gabe sprawled on his living room floor, unconscious, wings broken, and losing blood at a tremendous rate. Remembering times like that made him not regret giving Gabriel a key.

"Hey, you're back?" Gabriel said quietly, looking up from the bed.  "Yeah," Dred replied. He stood for another minute before turning to leave. "Can I have a goodnight kiss?" Dred just shook his head but went in and kissed Gabriel gently on the cheek. "Night." He said.

Any semblance of weakness was gone the next morning. Gabriel slammed into Dred's room. "YOU DO NOT HAVE COFFEE?!" he exclaimed. Dred groaned and put a pillow over his head, "Why, why did I have to date a caffeine addict? Look, there is tea." He removed the pillow to see Gabriel glaring down at him. "It is still not COFFEE!"

"Look, Gabe, don't argue with me. I'm bigger then you and could potentially hurt you if you do not remove yourself from my room right now." Dred growled. Gabriel stayed put, green eyes gleaming. "Naw, I'm comfy here. Besides, I am faster then you. You will never catch me." Dred surged up but his hand only met empty air. Confused, he looked about and spotted Gabriel standing in the doorway. "So, Dred, 'bout that coffee." Dred got up and shut the door in his face.
Just a little bit of Dred and Gabe's odd relationship.

Lol, amusing. XD Nicely written, I'm impressed with how well you've captured both characters.

Homosexuals, eh? (unless I'm being a dolt again and misinterpreted the whole thing. XD)
